Wellness Wednesday Tip: Free Apps to Promote Resilience

Welcome to the first Wellness Wednesday in honor of Trauma Awareness Month. We hope these tips provide you with ideas and resources to build your resilience. This week’s tip highlights apps that can build protective factors to promote resilience and reduce the development of secondary and vicarious trauma.

Provider Resilience:

Happify:   

Based on the science of happiness, this app provides individualized recommendations for activities that can increase happiness and promote wellbeing.  Happify was created in 2012 by Tomer Ben-Kiki, Ofer Leidner, and Andy Parsons, entrepreneurs united by a belief that technology should be used to make peoples’ lives better. Developed by the National Center for Telehealth and Technology, this app helps individuals learn about and manage symptoms that often occur after trauma.
